Overview
NGO Darpan is the online platform run by NITI Aayog that maintains a database of voluntary organisations working with government ministries. Registration on Darpan gives your NGO a unique Darpan ID, which is required to apply for grants under many central government schemes and is widely asked for by donors and CSR partners.
Any registered trust, society or Section 8 company with a PAN can apply. Details of at least three office bearers, with their PAN and Aadhaar, are required along with the NGO's registration documents and activity details.
Company Mitra provides:
- Creation of your Darpan login
- Complete profile filing with activities and office bearers
- Follow-up on PAN and registration validation
- Delivery of the Darpan unique ID
There is no government fee. Keeping the Darpan profile updated with new office bearers and activities is important, since government departments rely on it while evaluating applications.
