About GST Registration – Registration + Returns + ITR
Overview
GST registration under Section 22 of the CGST Act, 2017 is required when your aggregate turnover crosses ₹40 lakh for goods (₹20 lakh or ₹10 lakh in some special category states) or ₹20 lakh for services (₹10 lakh in special category states). Under Section 24, certain businesses must register irrespective of turnover, such as inter-state suppliers of goods, e-commerce sellers, casual taxable persons and persons liable under reverse charge.
Registration gives you a GSTIN, allows you to collect GST legally, claim input tax credit and work with large customers and online marketplaces. The application is filed in Form GST REG-01 with Aadhaar authentication, and the certificate is issued in Form REG-06.
Company Mitra handles the complete process:
- Checking eligibility and choosing the right registration type
- Selecting HSN or SAC codes for your products and services
- Filing REG-01 with correct documents
- Guiding Aadhaar or biometric authentication
- Replying to any officer query until approval
There is no government fee. Approval usually takes 3 to 7 working days, and may extend to 30 days if physical verification is required.
